👋 Hello!

I'm Raphael, an embedded systems and IoT engineer with a rich background in leading technology projects across various industries, including automotive, manufacturing, and telecommunications. With a strong focus on Linux systems, microservice architectures, and cybersecurity, I've dedicated my career to enhancing system functionalities and security for leading companies.

History

I grew up in the small city of Ingolstadt in Bavaria, where i also had my first contacts with software engineering and embedded systems working in the local automotive industry. I moved out to Nuremberg to study computer science at Nuremberg Tech, where I completed my masters with honors, and have also participated in research projects in the field of data science and machine learning.

My master program was originally focused on data science and machine learning, but for my final thesis I decided to switch back to embedded systems and IoT and worked in research for a startup in Munich. After my studies I worked as a Consultant for Cloud and IoT and later as a Principal Engineer and Team Lead before beginning my journey as a freelancer.

My hometown

I am currently based in the beautiful city of Augsburg in Bavaria, Germany. Here you can find me in the old-town right next to the picturesque channels of the Lech. If you are in the area ping me to get recommendations for the best coffee places and parks ‐ where you will also find me most of the weekends, with a good book in hand.
